Yakima Composite Decking Reviews

Yakima composite decking is manufactured by BUILDDIRECT in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This low maintenance material is available in Gray and Brown colors. Yakima decking has UV inhibitors that prevents color fading. Yakima produces a solid decking board that sells for about $2.00 per foot and a hollow composite plank that retails for approximately $1.75 per foot. The decking can be installed over 16" on center joists using hidden clips. Yakima decking comes with a 10 year warranty and has been tested under the ESR-2541 evaluation service report.

This decking looked so beautiful, but in just 3 months it was so faded and looks horrible. I''m searching for something to brighten it. It gets full sun all day long.

I used Yakima decking in the Northeast. Warning: It is very slippery! In the summer, it pools water and becomes very slick. In the winter this results in a thin layer of ice. It has become a liability. Also, it becomes unbearably hot in the summer sun, more so than other decking we''ve used.
